F.E. (JIM) CLYMER Jim peacefully passed away July 20, 2018 at the age of 86 in Santa Maria, CA. He was born January 28, 1932 in Uniontown, PA to parents John and Goulda. He had three older brothers; Donald, John Jr., and Harold.

He met Jacquelyn Warren on Easter Day, 1951 in her hometown of Austin, TX and they married on September 26, 1953. While working full-time, he earned an Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration at Allan Hancock College.

He retired from management with Martin-Marietta in 1990, and he then accepted employment as Program Manager for Curry Contracting Company until his final retirement in 1992. Jim was a past president of the Orcutt Lions Club, a past member of the American Legion Post #534 and a past member of the Hesperian Masonic Lodge No. 264.

Jim is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jacquelyn, one son, Jim D. (K.J.) and three daughters, Lesly Shuffield (Alan), Lisa Mathews (Robert) and Laura Huebner (Darren). Jim is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Travis Clymer, Lindsay Clymer, Chad Shuffield, Carly Shuffield Poss, Holly Escobar Hochleutner (Jayse), Mark Escobar, Jenna Huebner, Jacquelyn Huebner, and Brad Huebner, and two great granddaughters, Kaylin Clymer-Aeschliman and Ava Hochleutner. Honorary family members include: Anthony Escobar, Samantha Bloomer, Tristen Bloomer, Tom Poss, Six Puentes, Tyler Puentes, Travis Aeschliman, Tori Thompson, and Ian Bangerter.

Jim was preceded in death by an infant son, Daryl Wade, in 1958, and by his parents and three brothers. Jim was a respectful, gentle man who valued hard work, responsibility, and family. Always the provider and caretaker of those he loved, he led by example and his legacy is the strong and loving family he leaves behind.

Burial arrangements are under direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. Jim had requested cremation, with no formal services. Friends are welcome to join the family at a memorial open house in his honor from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the Huebner home, 1450 Solomon Rd, Orcutt, CA.
