Obituary for Farrell Edward Belt Farrell Edward Belt, 74, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Winfield Veterans Home. He was born March 31, 1944, the son of Glenn Edward and Clarice Patricia (Gray) Belt in Kingman. In 2003, he married Mary (Kautzer Frieson) Belt.

They preceded him in death. Farrell joined the Navy May of 1962. He became a Navy Seal and was a Prisoner of War during Vietnam and received the Purple Heart.

He was one of the original founders of the Patriot Guard in Mulvane. Farrell was a 32nd Degree Mason, Member of the VFW and American Legion and a supporter of Racers for Christ. He is survived by his children, Regina (Tom) Jones of Iowa, Stephanie (John) Fascitelli of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jeremy (Gloria) Belt of Harrah, Oklahoma, Jennifer (Doug) Freund of Pratt and Farrell Glenn Belt of San Antonio, Texas; step daughter, Joelle Stevens of Olathe; sister, Carol (Ricky) Belt Hayes of Sherrill, Arkansas; grandchildren, Ashley, Alyse, Cordell, Paige, Dominic, Colton, Jonathon, Steven, Brennan, Reagan and Alexa; great grandchildren, Liam, Case, Lance, Morgan, Layson, and Raelyn; niece, Tricia; and nephews, B.J., Ricky and Mike.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and family will receive friends from 6-8 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. A Memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Larrison Mortuary with Mike Griffith and Ricky Hayes presiding.

Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m., at Lone Star Cemetery, Pretty Prairie. Memorials may be made to Racers for Christ or Kansas Veterans Home in care of Larrison Mortuary.
