Obituary for Ellen Marcella Cronk Ellen Marcella Cronk, 91, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at Minneola Nursing Home in Minneola. She was born June 28, 1927 in Cullison to John Wesley and Ida Virginia “Cricket” (Ellison) Combs. Marcella lived in the Pratt area until she married Forrest Roger Cronk in 1947 and later divorced in 1976.

She worked as a cook at Pratt Regional Medical Center for 27 years before retiring. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Pratt and former member of Ashton Extension Home Unit of Sawyer. She enjoyed cooking, reading, flowers and watching the hummingbirds.

She liked to watch KU Basketball and loved to go to her grandchildren ball games. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Bucky) Mooney of Minneola; son, Dr. Roy (Nancy) Cronk of Albuquerque, New Mexico; twin sister, Virginia Marvella Randle of Iuka; 6 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Marcella was preceded in death by parents; two sons, Richard Rodney Cronk and Herbert Eugene Cronk; four sisters, Lela Marie Gillham, Violett Mae Maercker, Melva Bell Adams and “Bea” Beulah Maude Gillmore ; and infant granddaughter, Christy Jo Mooney.

Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Iuka Methodist Church, Iuka with Pastor Brad Kefauver presiding.
