Obituary for Sheila G. Mayfield Sheila Gaye Mayfield, 58, of Attica, KS, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Via Christ-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. She was born in Medicine Lodge, KS on November 27, 1959 to Mary Joan and Paul Lester Doman Jr. Sheila attended Sharon Public School until the last half of her junior year, when the family moved to Medicine Lodge. She graduated from Medicine Lodge High School with the class of 1977.

She also attended Northwestern State University in Alva, OK. Sheila was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Medicine Lodge. She married James Evans in 1978.

To this union, two children were born, Jeremy Lynn and Amanda Jean. Later on she had another son, Christopher Alan. She moved to Attica and worked as a cook at Attica Long Term Care.

Preceding her in death were grandparents, Cecil and Modena Davis and Lester and Opal Doman, and her mother, Joan. Surviving are her father, Paul (Carol) Doman of Jet, OK; two sons, Chris (Carrie) Willingham of Medicine Lodge, KS & Jeremy (Kasandra) Evans of Raton, NM; one daughter, Amanda (Charles) Gillis of Shinnston, WV; Eight grandchildren; one brother, Allen (Paula) Doman of Medicine Lodge, KS; four sisters, Corinna Doman of Attica, KS, Dianna (Bill) Veatch of Emporia, KS, Cheryl (Steve) Ellis of Alva, OK, & Carol Ann (Lance) Crouch of Scott City, KS. Cremation has taken place.
