Felipa Oliva April 11, 1935 – December 23, 2018 Felipa Oliva, 83 of Carteret passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Born in Cuba, Felipa emigrated to the United States and settled in Newark where she resided for 20 years before moving and settling in Carteret for the last 25 years. Felipa was a bridal gown seamstress for many years and was a member of the 1 & 9 Christian Church in Elizabeth.

Felipa was predeceased by her husband, Orlando Oliva in 1992. Surviving are her children, Orlando Oliva and his wife Tanya, Marlene Hasegawa and her husband Arturo; grandchildren, Isaias, Luis Angel, Jonathan, Reuben, Rebecca, Matthew, Peter and Rachel; great grandchildren, Madison, Connor, Caroline, Christian, Alex and Aria along with two sisters, Elsa Alonso and Ededmira Amador. Funeral services will begin at 10am on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9am. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm at the funeral home.
