Ilona Kuntar November 28, 1931 – January 9, 2019 Ilona Kuntar, 87 of Old Bridge passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Haven Hospice at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison. Born in Hungary, Ilona was a longtime resident of of Woodbridge, Edison and most recently Old Bridge. Ms. Kuntar was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Woodbridge for many years as well as a member of the Woodbridge Hungarian American Citizen’s Club.

Ilona was predeceased by her husband in 1989, Jeno Kuntar. Surviving are her children, Theodore Kuntar, Joseph Kuntar and his wife Ilona Donna Kuntar; granddaughter, Gianna Jolene Kuntar as well as her siblings, Steve Herzcegh, Laszlo and John Herczegh and Margaret and Maria of Hungary. Born: November 28, 1931 Death: January 9, 2019 Friends and relatives are invited for visitation beginning at 8:30am on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at GERITY & CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 411 Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Woodbridge. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
