Men wanted to be him and women wanted to be with him. Felipe Nunez Casique Sr., aka Turbo, 51, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born January 26, 1967 in La Luz, Guanajuato, the son of Genoveva Nunez Almanza and Ruben Casique Arreguin.
Felipe grew up in Mexico. At a very young age he learned what responsibilty was and how to be a hard worker. Being the oldest of nine it was his responsibility that his younger brothers learned the family job very good, taking care of his beloved goats on the mountain side.
Felipe’s always dreamed of moving to the United States and marrying a “white girl”. He moved to the US in 1986 and met the love of his life, Buffy Wald. Felipe married Buffy in 1987 and together they had 5 children which were Felipe’s biggest inspiration.
Years later Felipe got divorced but they always remained good friends. Felipe was first diagnosed with a brain tumor is 2008 and then in 2015 he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Felipe was the bravest man, a super hero in the eyes of his children.
Felipe fought a courageous battle with his family right by his side. Felipe loved God, his family, the Pheasants, Little Debbie snacks, beautiful women and an occasional bud light. Felipe worked at MacFarlane Phaesant Farm for 18 years that is where they gave him the nickname “Turbo” because he was the toughest around, he loved every minute at the Pheasant Farm.
More than his job, he loved his family and loved getting together and just being with them. Felipe loved gardening, watching Van Damm and Disney movies and telling stories… LOTS of stories, “Don’t believe me ask the dishes”.
