Fernando Lindesay Howard, Jr., affectionately known as “NoNo,” was born to Sheryl McMillain Adams (Curtis Adams) and Fernando Lindesay Howard, Sr. (Geneva L. Gregory Howard) in Kansas City, Kansas on January 15, 1983. During his early years, NoNo participated on competitive basketball teams earning himself awards, medals, and trophies as a skillful athlete. He went on to attend Raytown South High School and earned his General Education Diploma through The Kansas Department of Education.

He worked for a well-known metropolitan family business, The Lindesay Tree Service, which allowed him to form treasured relationships with his great uncles, cousins, and close family friends. In addition to this, NoNo maintained occupations at The Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium and The Kansas City Royals’ Kaufmann Stadium throughout his years. Family was of great importance to NoNo.

His children – Fernando, Londen, Kiree, and Azzariah held the most special places inside of his heart. NoNo savored strong, encouraging bonds with his family and took great pride in helping to prepare for gatherings that celebrated his family’s unity during the Fourth of July, Christmas, graduations, birthdays, and anniversaries. Equally important to NoNo were his friends.

He was privileged to have experienced the gift of many long-lasting friendships throughout his life. After NoNo was baptized, he developed a personal relationship with the Lord! He managed to share his time as a caregiver with his late, great uncle, Fredric Lindesay and even volunteered annually for the Salvation Army to raise funds for the less fortunate.

NoNo leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Fernando Howard, III, Londen Howard, Kiree Taylor; one daughter, Azzariah Lindesay; three brothers, Kendall Howard, Curtis Adams Ross, and DesJuan Williams; mother, Sheryl McMillain Adams (Curtis Adams); father, Fernando Lindesay Howard, Sr. (Geneva L. Gregory Howard); special niece, Kaprece Howard; two aunts, Harvetta Kashka and Toby Cummings; two uncles, Jerome Herndon, Denny Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends. Funeral Services 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Christ Church Of The Jesus Hour, 1119 North 18th Street, Kansas City, KS 66104. Visitation 9:00 a.m. Interment Memorial Park.
