Obituary for Florence Antionette Scheffel Florence Antionette Scheffel, 74, of Edwardsville died at 12:02 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. Florence was a retired CNA at Eden Village Care Center and worked as a school monitor for Edwardsville School District #7. Florence’s passion was selling her handmade crafts.

She was born June 18, 1944, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina the daughter of the late Stonie Travis Sizemore & Margaret (Zimmerman) Sizemore Bauer. Florence is survived by 2 sons, David Scheffel of Edwardsville and James Scheffel & wife Melody of Godfrey, Illinois; 1 daughter, Sheryl Hackethal & husband Kevin of Edwardsville; 5 grandchildren, Jonce Scheffel, Savannah Scheffel, Brandon Stewart , Bryan Stewart, and Thomas Hackethal; 1 brother, John Bauer, Jr. of St. Louis County; and 1 sister, Freda Bauer of Brighton.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Stonie Sizemore and David Bauer. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm.

Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home with Pastor David Blackburn officiating. According to her wishes she was cremated. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
