Florence’s Obituary Willie Florence Grenade, age 95, of Macon, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. Services will be held on Sunday, January 20, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Moores Funeral Home in Milledgeville, GA. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Moores.

Florence was born on December 16, 1923, in Gordon, GA, to John Augustus and Willie Etheridge Granade. She was a retired employee of Warner Robins Air Force Base having worked there from 1942 until 1979. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Myles and C. B. Granade, of Gordon, Gus and Frank Granade, of Milledgeville and two sisters, Minnie Lee Hardie Cheeves of Milledgeville, and Fannie McCook of McIntyre.

Florence was a devoted member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and the Solomon Sunday School Class. She is a past member of the Methodist Children’s Home Auxiliary, and for many years was a Trustee of Snow Hill Cemetery in Wilkinson County. Florence was an avid bridge player and always enjoyed volunteering in her church and in the community.

She is survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Donations may be made in Florence’s memory to Mulberry Street UMC, 719 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201, or to Snow Hill Cemetery, in care of Jimmy Youngblood, 255 Corral Road, Milledgeville, GA 31061, or to The Methodist Home, P.O. Box 2525, Macon GA 31204. Moores Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville has charge of arrangements.
