Flossie Ann (Rice) Barnes St. Clair, age 100, of Erwin, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home. A native of Erwin, Flossie is a daughter of the late Newberry and Leota (Blankenship) Rice. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala, FL.

In addition to her parents, Flossie is preceded in death by her first husband, James Vance Barnes; second husband, W. L. St. Clair; 11 siblings; grandson, Eddie Harris, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Courtney Niceley. Flossie Ann (Rice) Barnes St. Clair leaves behind to cherish her memory: Children: Charlotte Niceley, of Daytona Beach, FL, Mary Katherine Brown and husband, Mac, of Erwin, Brenda J. Ward and husband, Jim, of Ocala, FL, Pat Massey and husband, Jim, of Blountville, TN; Brother: Billy Rice and wife, Sharon, of Christiansburg, VA; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks to Flossie’s caregivers: Gertha, Lorraine, Judy, Lib, Julie, Kathy Jo, Lisa and Wanda, as well as the staff at Caris Healthcare.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Flossie Ann (Rice) Barnes St. Clair in a funeral service to be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Her brother, Billy L. Rice, will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 and will continue until service time in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home.

A committal service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Those attending the committal service will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 1:00 PM to go in procession. Serving as active pallbearers will be: Jim Ward, Mac Brown, David Harris, Keith Griffith, Kevin Niceley and Cecil Hamilton.

Honorary pallbearers will be: James Ward, Jr., Tony Mendola, Jack Gray, Jake Niceley, George Niceley, Dennis Ingram, Tim Miller, Jim Massey, Robert Harris and Robert Rice. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
