Obituary for Ralph Oscar Gaddy Ralph Oscar Gaddy, age 80, of South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Center on Aging and Health. A native of Erwin, Ralph is a son of the late General Ross and Bessie (Garland) Gaddy. He is of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by brothers: General Arthur Gaddy, Clarence Gaddy and Paul Gaddy; nephews: Dale Gaddy and Chris Gaddy. Ralph Oscar Gaddy leaves behind to cherish his memory: Sister: Alma Gaddy Honeycutt, of Unicoi; Brothers: David Gaddy and wife, Debbie, of Caledonia, MS, Roger Gaddy and wife, Sherry, of Erwin; Nieces: Heather Gaddy McCay, of Prattville, AL, Jessica Swope and husband, Will, of Erwin, Heidi Willis, of Erwin; Great nephews: Peyton McCay, of Prattville, AL, Liam Swope, of Erwin; Great niece: Hartley McCay of Prattville, AL. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Ralph Oscar Gaddy in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in chapel at Valley Funeral Home.
Reverend Phillip Garland and Reverend Dallas Gregg will officiate. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 PM on Saturday and will continue until service time. A graveside committal service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2019 in McInturff-Barnett Cemetery.
Those attending will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 1:30 PM to go in procession. Serving as pallbearers will be: Bruce Randolph, Danny Fulwiler, Earl Fulwiler, Troy Gaddy, Chad Williams, Mike Foster and Mike Barcel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the McInturff-Barnett Cemetery Fund, c/o Roger Gaddy, 503 Coffee Ridge Road, Erwin, TN 37650.
