Obituary of Fondah Walker Fondah Ann (Smith) Walker January 26, 1927 ~ February 17, 2019 Fondah Ann (Smith) Walker, 92, Gas City, died on February 17, 2019 at Wesleyan Health Care. She was born on January 26, 1927, to the late Theron G. and Beatrice L (Starkey) Smith in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She married Otto J. Walker who preceded her in death in 2018.

Fondah was a bookkeeper for North Branch Area Schools and retired after 21 years of service. She taught Sunday School and worked with the children ministries for many years. Since residing in Grant County, she has been a regular attender of Westview Wesleyan Church.

She enjoyed crocheting and had the gift of hospitality. Fondah is survived by her two daughters, Bethany Malburg, Gas City and Mary Lynne Walker, Marion; sister Ardeth LeTourneau, Bay City, MI; brother, Bud K. (Nelda) Smith, Dallas, TX; grandsons, Donald Malburg, Allen (Susan) Malburg, Randall (Megan) Malburg, all of TN; and 3 great-grandchildren. Fondah’s family will receive visitors from 10 AM to 12 noon on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Westview Wesleyan Church 1300 W. 6th St., Jonesboro, IN with Pastor Mark Deisler officiating.

Her funeral will follow at 12 noon at the church and burial will talk place at Park Cemetery in Fairmount. Memorial Contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice 1385 N. Baldwin Ave. , Marion, IN 46952.

Arrangements for Fondah’s funeral have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN 46933. Online condolences may be made at www. nswcares.com.
