Obituary of Leonard Koch Leonard C. Koch January 12, 1920 ~ February 14, 2019 Leonard C. Koch, 99, passed from this earth to his Heavenly Home at 12:30 PM on February 14, 2019 at Wesleyan Health Care Center. He had a great love for the Lord and His Word. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on January 12, 1920 to Benjamin Lafayette Koch and Marie Stein Koch.

He was the second youngest of 11 children. Only his sister Patricia Wright, Sarasota, FL remains. He attended school in Fort Wayne, IN, graduating from South Side High School in 1938.

An amazing artist, he also attended Fort Wayne Art School and Philadelphia Art Institute. He was an Army Veteran, who served in WWII. He married Evelyn Z. Luther Parker on May 2, 1948.

They celebrated 61 years of marriage until she was called home on November 18, 2009. They lived in Fort Wayne for 47 years until they moved to the Grant County area 14 years ago. He was a member of Harvester Missionary Church in Fort Wayne and attended Grace Community Church in Marion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, six sisters, two step-children, Linda D. Emerling and Kenneth Koch, two grand-children, Michael S. Rudy and Gerin P. Rudy. Surviving are daughter, Marti Bibeau, Marion; granddaughters, Kim (Doug) Schaffer and Kendra (Ehren) Siebert, VA; 4 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews around the United States. A visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, Leonard’s funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery.
