Obituary of Virginia Bailey Virginia (Pattee) Bailey July 1, 1917 ~ February 15, 2019 Virginia (Pattee) Bailey, 101, Marion, died on February 15, 2019 at Colonial Oaks Assisted Living. She was born on July 1, 1917, to the late Torrence and Lucy (Thompson) Pattee. She married Howard A. Bailey on December 11, 1948 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1989.

Virginia had worked as a fabricator at the Crosley Automotive plant where she met her husband. She also worked on the family farm. She was a member of Temple Congregational Church in Marion.

She was a loving homemaker. She volunteered at Huntington County School District and was active in the St. Paul’s Ladies Guild and the Marion Senior Center. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, was an avid crocheter, seamstress and reader.

She was a giving woman who cooked many meals for her family and friends. Virginia will be remembered as a loving, strong, and independent woman who was blessed with a long life. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Linda (Tom) Weintraut, Dorothy (Paul) Seeler; grandchildren, Chris (Jennifer) Weintraut, Beth (Brian) Warn, Zach Seeler; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Tom, Emmett, Abigail, Nick, Claire, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to parents and loving husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Clarence and Robert; sisters, Kathryn, Bertha, Hazel, Dorothy, and Marcella. Funeral Services for Virginia will be held at 1 PM on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Temple Congregational Church, 1006 N Western Ave, Marion, IN 46952, with Pastor Jeff Jahn officiating. Visitation will take place from 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday prior to the funeral.

Burial will follow at St. Paul County Line Church Cemetery, 9984 West Maple Grove Road, in Andrews, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Congregational Church. Online condolences may be made at www.
