Mrs. Frances T. “Sis” Dawkins, 77, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County in Buena Vista, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 28, 2018, in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Firday, July 27, 2018, from 6:00-8:00pm. Mrs. Dawkins was born August 13, 1940, in Marion County, GA, to Boyce Clayton and Eldonzie Gibson Hodge. She was a member of Buena Vista First Baptist Church and attended Tazewell Methodist Church.

Mrs. Dawkins had been employed as a sales clerk with J. C. Penney. She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Paul Dawkins, and by her two daughters, Theresa Dawkins, and Lisa Allen.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Kelly Morgan (Grady) of Buena Vista, GA, Joshua Allen (Mercy) of Columbus, GA, and Greg Allen, Jr. (Kendall) of Hamilton, GA; six great-grandchildren, Brianna Morgan, Wyatt Morgan, Kensington Allen, Gunnar Allen, Flint Allen, and Ezra Allen; and by four brothers, Clayton M. Hodge (Marguerite) of Columbus, GA, Walter Rainey Hodge (Kay) of Americus, GA, Donnie Gene Hodge of Ellaville, GA, and William B. Hodge (Donna) of Reynolds, GA. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
