Mrs. Frances Toler Hazelwood, age 91, of 2141 Brooklyn Road, Sutherlin, VA, went home to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, December 28, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Hazelwood was born on May 25, 1927, in Danville, to the late Ernest Toler and Betty Mitchell Toler. She was married to Hubert Clay Hazelwood who also predeceased her.

She worked as a dietician at Roman Eagle Health and Rehab, and was a devout member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church on North Main Street. Mrs. Hazelwood is survived by her daughter, Brenda Stevens (George) of Crestview, FL; her son Danny Clay Hazelwood (Phyllis) of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandchildren, Tod Owen Stevens, Rhonda Faye Stevens, Danielle Hazelwood and Clint Hazelwood (Amy); great-grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Stevens and Courtney Alene Campione (Christopher) and Major Chase. Also surviving is her sister, Margie Ann Spencer.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Alfred Toler, John Lee Toler and Iris Griffith. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, January 02, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.at Highland Burial Park with Pastor Myron Bruce officiating. Visitation will be held at Barker Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 01, 2019 from 4 – 6:00 P.M. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
