Obituary for Mr. Francis G. Martin Francis G. Martin, 82, of Chateaugay, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his home. Born on October 2, 1935 in Chateaugay, NY, he was the son of William and Bertha (Decker) Martin. Francis enlisted in 1958 in the U.S. Army and was honorable discharged in 1960.

He lived in Danbury, CT and worked as a custodian for Castro Convertible in Bethel, CT for 20 years. He worked for the Board of Education in Bethel, CT for 16 years, before retiring in 2000. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, Chateaugay.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Mary Higgenbottom of Danbury, CT, Isabelle Tourville of Malone, Shirley Northrop of Pine Bush, NY; several nieces and nieces and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother William. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Monday, July 30 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Chateaugay on Monday, July 30 at 5:15 p.m., officiated by Rev. John Looby. Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chateaugay.
