Francis J. Bolduc January 31, 1927 – January 29, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Francis J. “Frank” Bolduc, 91, of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 29, 2019 at his home. He was born January 31, 1927 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, son of the late Clodio and Gertrude Maloney Bolduc. He was a 1944 graduate of Woonsocket High School, where he was the Senior Class President.
He received his B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Rhode Island and was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Frank was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran who was then recalled for service during the Korean War. He began his career as the Personnel Director for the city of Woonsocket.
Frank then served as the Director of the Red Bank New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and went on the become the Executive Director of the New Jersey State Bar Association. During his long tenure as the Executive Director of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Frank distinguished himself for his ability to expand the scope and nature of the Association. In recognition of his leadership skills, Frank was honored to be elected President of the National Association of Bar Executives.
In retirement, he served as the Manager of Lower Paxton Township. Frank was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey, where he served on the Parish Council. He volunteered with Hershey Medical Center, where he was a beloved presence in the Ronald McDonald Family Room for over 11 years.
In addition, he spent many years bringing smiles to those he visited while serving Meals on Wheels. Francis is survived by his wife of 64 years, Doris Abrants Bolduc of Hummelstown; daughters, Jayne Duncan and her husband William of Elizabethtown, Mary C. Bolduc of Hershey, Kathy McNally and her partner Greg Reese of Leesburg, VA, grandson Benjamin Duncan and his wife Caitlin of Hershey, granddaughter Emily Duncan of Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Bolduc and sister-in law, Muriel Levesque Bolduc.
Frank’s family would like to extend sincere thanks to the caring staff at the Lebanon V.A. Medical Center. Also, special thanks to Dr. Charles Dye and Dr. Ricardo Bedoya for their kindness and compassion during Frank’s illness. Visitation will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave.
, Hershey at 11:30 on February 9, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00. A private Interment with Military Honors will be held at a later date at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to either the Heart of the Parish Fund, c/o St Joan of Arc Church 359 W. Areba Ave.
