Frank “Allen” Nightingale Jr., 87, of Cherry Valley, passed away June 25, 2018 in Rockford surrounded by his family. Born January 25, 1931 in Jacksonville, FL; he was the son of Frank A. and Mabel C. (Peacock) Nightingale Sr. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Allen was a member of the Tebala Shriners. He was an avid reader who enjoyed wood working, music, gardening, bird watching and spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.
