Obituary for Frank Kilgore Charles Franklin Kilgore (“Frank”), age 83, of Joelton, Tennessee, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o’clock pm, Friday, April 27th, at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Corey Minter and Bro.

Tom Malone officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 3:00-8:00PM on Thursday, April 26th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View and again on Friday at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service at 1:00PM.

Mr. Kilgore was born on October 30, 1934 in Smithville, Tennessee to the late William Thomas and Vennie Ann Hendrixson Kilgore. He served in the United States Army Reserve, and was retired from Ford Glass. Frank enjoyed farming, golf, music, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Erie Kilgore, Ruby Hendrix, Jimmy Kilgore, Glen Kilgore, Patsy Majors, Don Kilgore, Sam Kilgore, and Virginia Knepper Amburgy. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Kilgore; son, Charles F. (Pam) Kilgore, II; daughters, Karen (Eric) Saul, and Theresa Hughes; brothers, Jack (Peggy) Kilgore, Bryant (Dean) Kilgore, Harold (Jackie) Kilgore, and Kelly (Ginny) Kilgore; sisters, Myrtle Ruth Reeder, Gaynell (Gilford) Walker, and Sharon (Roby) Binkley; grandchildren, Katherine Saul, Eric Saul, Ava Jo Kilgore, Charles F. Kilgore, III, and Kaitlan Hughes; and many nieces and nephews.
