Obituary for Fred Simmons Ewell Jr. Fred Simmons Ewell, Jr., passed away on October 22, 2018 at his home. A native of Greenville County, son of the late Fred Simmons Ewell, Sr., and Nellie Rochester Ewell, he was a retired employee of Sears, a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran and of Baptist faith. Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Ewell of Greer; two brothers, Melvin Ewell (Doris) of Greer and Joe Ewell (Edna) of Gray Court and one sister, Evelyn Hewitt (Walker) of Greer.

Mr. Ewell was predeceased by one daughter, Susan Ewell and two sisters, Violet Campbell and Barbara Wood. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, Online condolences may be made at www.
