Fred Walters Jr. Frederick Culver Walters Jr, 61 of Vienna, passed away January 9, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 20, 1957 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Frederick C. Walters Sr. and Lena Mae (Parsons) Cline of Parkersburg. Fred was a manager for Piggly Wiggly grocery stores and owned and operated Shasta’s, a candy store and the Bug Doctor exterminating business.

He was an avid sportsman who excelled in softball and bowling. He was a U. S. Army veteran. Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons: Justin Walters of Parkersburg and Nick Walters of Vienna, five brothers: Rick Walters (Michelle) of Parkersburg, Doug Walters (Shelley) of Williamstown, Jon Walters (Kim) of Parkersburg, Bob Walters (Donna) of Hermitage, PA and B. I. Cline (Tonya) of Parkersburg, two sisters: Terri Combs (Steve) of Parkersburg and Cindy Ollom (Blayne) of Hebron, IN.

Funeral services will be Saturday 3:30PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defer funeral expenses.
