Mary Jo Roberts, 84, of Coolville passed away January 6, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1934 in Parkersburg, WV, one of five children of the late Gilbert Tracy Hammer and Glenna Edith Bailey Hammer DePue. Mary Jo graduate from Parkersburg High School.

She had worked as housekeeping supervisor for Ohio University for several years. Mary Jo active with the Jolly Workers Homemakers Club, her book club and was a member of the Vanderhoof Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her husband of forty-four years Joe Roberts, four children Jeanie Petrie (Bruce), Janie Higgens (Jim), John Michael Cunningham (Lynn), Jeffery Roberts (Debbie), twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, sister Linda Shutts (Lee), several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son Joseph Clark Cunningham, sister Glenna Hammer and two brothers Bob and John Hammer. A memorial service will be held at a date to be decided. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.
