George Ivey Reason, 77, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home. George was born April 11, 1941 in Greene County to the late Joseph Roy Reason and Mary Louise Beaman Reason. He retired from Carquest with 26 years of service.

Funeral service 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon, NC 27591. The family will receive relatives and friends 12:00 to 1:45 pm prior to the service.

Surviving: daughters: Jeanna R. Kokus (Dennis) of Rougemont, Patricia A. Reason of Raleigh, Cathy Diane Richardson (Kenneth) of Zebulon; sons: Robert Lee Benson of Louisburg, Jimmy D. Narron (Tosha) of Spring Lake; Son in law: Tommy Richardson of Zebulon; daughter in law: Stella Reason of La Crosse Va. ; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Baker Reason; daughter, Pamela B. Richardson; and a son George G. Reason.
