Obituary for Georgia Roach Georgia Ann Oxford-Roach, 57, of Johnston City, passed away at 3:44 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis with her loving family by her side. Georgia was born February 10, 1961 in Eldorado to Otis and Janet (Engles) Oxford. She married Daren Roach on February 27, 1987 in Paducah.

Daren survives. Georgia was a child care provider for many years. She was previously a secretary at the Farm Bureau in Meridian, MS.

She was a member of the Redemption Church in Johnston City, Equality Social Brethren Church and Pine Springs Christian Fellowship in Meridian. She was a 1979 graduate of Equality High School. Georgia loved to go shopping, yard selling and antiquing.

She loved to cook and made sure there was always a dish for whatever the occasion. She welcomed countless children of Johnston City to her home and provided the attentive needs to each and every one as if they were her own. Georgia and Daren have always been willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need.

Georgia is survived by her husband, Daren Roach of Johnston City; two children, Dylan Roach of Johnston City and Erin Roach of St. Louis; brother, Michael (Sara) Oxford of Equality; mother-in-law, Viola Roach of Johnston City; brother-in-law, Brian (Laura) Roach of Johnston City; five nieces, Brooklynde and Jocelyn Oxford, Lynzie Summers, Danielle (fiancé Matt Bowling) Roach, Kayla (fiancé Quentin Lazorchak) Roach, one nephew, Tyler Oxford. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, L.A. Oxford; grandparents, Lowell and Lydia Oxford, Arthur Engles, Margaret “Pat” Engles-Bynum and Harry Bynum; father-in-law, Gary Dean Roach. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Redemption Church, (17466 Routh 37, Johnston City) with Pastor Robbey Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City. Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
