Obituary for Gerald Lenard Hyde Gerald Lenard Hyde, 76, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. He was born March 17, 1942 in Beloit, WI, the son of James A. and Mildred H. (Groom) Hyde. Gerald was a 1961 graduate of Beloit Catholic High School were he was a star athlete receiving letters in basketball and football.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Gerald was formerly employed by Rock County Highway Dept. and Chrysler.

Survivors include his sisters and brother, Sandra Payne of Beloit, WI, Robert Hyde of Beloit, WI, Mildred Hyde-Demoze and Lynnette Hyde both of Charlotte, NC; nieces and nephews, Mary Payne of Milwaukee, WI, Ardith (Payne) Castellanos of Beloit, WI. , Peter (Nicky) Payne of Kenosha, WI. , Tracy (Fatima) Hyde of Milwaukee, WI, and Saba Demoze, of Charlotte, NC.

; great nieces and nephews, Cory (Sarah) Castellanos of Madison, WI. , Cesar (Amanda) Castellanos of Milwaukee, WI, Carlos Castellanos and Caleb Castellanos both of Beloit, WI, Trevaun Hyde and Tristan Hyde both of Milwaukee, WI, Aubrielle Isler of Charlotte, NC, Artasia Payne of Milwaukee, WI, and Alexus Payne of Racine, WI; cousins, James Harley, Jaemie Harley, Garvin Harley and Wanda Sloan all of Beloit, WI, Patsy Bandy and Toni Anderson both of Milwaukee, WI. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, two brothers and a nephew.

Funeral service for Gerald will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Wesley C.M.E Church, 1760 Shore Drive, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Vandy Harmon officiating. Visitation of remembrance will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the church. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI, with Military honors accorded.
