Geraldine Ruth Binkley, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation in South Bend, IN. She was born on September 15, 1932 in Cheboygan, MI, to Lavina Hilla, who preceded her in death. On August 2, 1952 in Fremont, IN, Geraldine married Kenneth L. Binkley, who preceded her in death on February 28, 2011.

Geraldine is survived by three sons, Robert C. (Mariann) Binkley of Niles, MI; Kenneth A. (Tammi) Binkley of New Carlisle, IN; David A. (Marsha) Binkley of Portage, MI; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara (Glenn) Hoese of Niles, and Buelah (Bud) Clark of Galien, MI. In addition to her parents and her husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by two sisters, Annis Miller and Gladys Slocum as well as two brothers, Reginald Hilla and Kenneth Harrington. Geraldine was employed at Magnavox in Columbia City, IN, for eleven years.

She also worked at many gas stations in Angola, IN. She attended Community of Christ and served as a minister and Boy Scout leader. In accordance with the wishes of Geraldine, cremation will take place, and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
