Obituary for Gladys Louise Stringfellow (Edwards) Blacksburg — Gladys Edwards Stringfellow, 98, of 102 Brull Street, passed away Monday, July 2nd, 2018, at her home. Born in Hickory Grove, she was the widow of Ransom L. Stringfellow and the daughter of the late James William “Lonnie” Edwards and Lillian Wright Edwards. Mrs. Stringfellow retired from textiles and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Linda Stringfellow Gunn Bright, of the home; one granddaughter, Lorri Jeanine Gunn/Love and husband, James, of Blacksburg; four great-grandchildren, Christopher Adam Love of Augusta, GA, Dustin Shayne Davis and wife, Sarah, of Gaffney, Brittany Taylor Davis Gregory and husband, Tyler, of Homestead, FL, and Devin Ryley Davis of Gaffney; two great-great-grandchildren, Colton Reid Childers and Fynlee Grayce Davis; and one sister Loretta Curtis, of Blacksburg. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stringfellow was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Bright Davis, four sisters, and one brother. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5th, 2018, from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 pm with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Bobby Yarborough, Roger Wright, Terry Ziegler, Jimmy Wyatt, Thomas Goode, Austin Goode will serve as pallbearers. The family will be at the residence. The Book of Memories is available at www.
