Obituary for Mrs. Gladys Nealy Teutsch Gladys Nealy Teutsch Shongaloo, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Nealy Teutsch, age 96, will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, October 5, 2018, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Chaplain Steven Slaughter officiating. Interment will follow in Union Springs Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Homel, Springhill. Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2018, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home.

A celebration of life will be held at her home following the graveside service. Mrs. Teutsch was born on August 13, 1922 to John A.and Minnie May Mashaw Nealy in Shongaloo, LA and passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Shongaloo, LA. She was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She was a passionate reader, and in her later years she adored traveling with her husband, daughter and son-in-law. The memories she made from those travels sustained her and gave her great comfort during her final years of being home bound. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Brittingham of Pleasanton, CA; granddaughter; Sarah O’Dell of Modesto, CA; great-granddaughter, Makayla Joy O’Dell of Lincoln, CA; sister, Charlene O’Daniel of Shreveport, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Mrs. Teutsch was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Annie Lee Strange Nealy; husband, Felton Jack Teutsch; daughters, Cheryl Teutsch and Jackie Teutsch; and ten siblings. Pallbearers will be Johnny Guillot, Jerry Trout, Dustin Miller, Junior Miller, Tullie Moore, Chance Davis, Alex Briggs and William Strange. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Union Springs Cemetery Fund, c/o R. D. Teutsch, 1013 Teutsch Road, Shongaloo, LA 71072.
