Obituary for John Larry Maynor John Larry Maynor Springhill, LA Memorial services for Mr. John Larry Maynor, affectionately know as “Papa John”, age 77, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with son-in-law, Lee Barnard officiating. Mr. Maynor was born on January 7, 1941 to James Willard and Allie Cook Maynor in Sarepta and passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Springhill. He was a retired store manager for Firestone Tire and Montgomery Ward.

He was also a traveling salesman for Goodwill Ambassadors out of Gastonia, NC. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, fixing anything that was broken and sometimes even if it wasn’t. Papa John was a lifelong learner who devoured books and was eager to learn about homeopathic medicine and natural remedies.

He is survived by his three daughters, DeeAnn Cripps and husband, Tim of Arcadia, LA, Alice Clark and husband, Tim of Ruston, LA, Dawn Barnard and husband, Lee of Lutz, FL; son, John Barrett “Bart” Maynor and wife, Laura of McKinney, TX; eleven grandchildren, Cole Cook, Ryan Clark, Jessica Cook, Hannah Clark Wallace, Nicholas Costello, Riley Maynor, Rhett Maynor, Georgeann Maynor, Barrett Maynor, Landry Barnard, and Langston Barnard; and three great-grandchildren.
