Obituary of Glenn McIntyre Glenn H. McIntyre, 87, of Sugar Grove, Pa. , passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. He was born in the family home in Lander, Pa.

on September 12, 1931, a son of the late Carl and Freeda (Smith) McIntyre. He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal from 1954 to 1956. Glenn was employed by the former Central Tractor in Jamestown for twenty-seven years, and served as the Store Manager for many of those years.

He previously worked for the GLF feed mill in Falconer. He also served on the borough council of Sugar Grove for several years and was a member of the Sugar Grove American Legion. Glenn was an avid antiquer, both buying and selling antiques.

He enjoyed his vegetable gardens throughout the years, traveling and spending time with his family. Glenn always had an individual and special relationship with each of his five grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louella (Parment) McIntyre, whom he married on October 30, 1954; two children: Rhonda (Dennis Haner) Schnars and Kevin (Monica) McIntyre, both of Sugar Grove; five grandchildren: Corey Schnars and Ryan Schnars, both of Sugar Grove, Kolby (Jackie) McIntyre of Waupun, WI, Emily (Joshua) Lee of Hornell, NY and Sara (Brandon Fain) McIntyre of Sugar Grove; a brother-in-law, Donald Sweeney of Lakewood and sister-in-law, Shirley McIntyre of Jamestown; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Brian McIntyre, with whom Glenn has been especially close.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: Gerald, Lyle, Richard and Lewis McIntyre, Allene Hamilton, Freeda Fosberg, Crystal Sweeney and Shirley Tilburg. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, led by Glenn’s nephew, Randy Sweeney. Burial will follow in the Busti Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lind’s. Memorials may be made to the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department, 5 Wilson St., Sugar Grove, Pa. 16350.
