Obituary for Guy Franklin Fisher Mr. Guy Franklin Fisher, age 81 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 24, 2018. The family will receive friends Friday, December 28 from 12:30 to 2 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A service will be held in the chapel at 2 pm with Rev’s Darrell Coble, Bo Sherrill, and Johnny Presley officiating.
Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Mr. Fisher was born May 11, 1937 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Carl W. and Wilma Barrier Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Florence Morgan Fisher, a daughter-in-law, Pam Fisher and four brothers.
Guy retired from Concord Lace Cooperation and was a longtime member of Parkwood Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed eating at Logan’s Roadhouse of Kannapolis every Thursday, and spending time with his family. He was a special father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Sellers and companion Mike Thomas of Enochville, Robin Barringer of Woodleaf, Toni Driver and husband, Cameron of China Grove, and Cheri Morgan Baker and husband, Todd of Mt. Pleasant; son, Guy Fisher, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to say “thank you” to Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving care given to Guy during this time.
