Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. BURIAL: Mercer Gap Cemetery in Comanche County. VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Harold Gene Williford, age 66, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on April 17, 1952, in Odessa, Texas, to Jess R. Williford, Jr. and Wanda Mae (Cook) Williford. On June 3, 2000, he was united in marriage to Doris N. Evans in Proctor, Texas.

Harold loved spending time with his family and especially the grandchildren. He was a truck driver employed by Kohler Trucking of Brownwood and later drove for Southern Ag in Comanche. Harold was an outdoorsman, spending time hunting, fishing and camping whenever he had some extra time.

He was a big fan of western movies and his favorites were those starring John Wayne or Clint Eastwood. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Doris Williford of Comanche; son, Tommy Williford of Dublin; stepsons, Roddy Evans of North Richland Hills and Bradley Avery of Lampasas; stepdaughter, Cristal Gilligan of Comanche; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Williford and wife Julie of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Lee Williford; stepson, Chance Avery; sister, Wanda Gay Williford; brother, Randall Williford; and parents, Jessie R. and Wanda May Williford.
