Monday, January 7, 2019, at DeLeon Cemetery. VISITATION: 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday, January 6. Shirley Arlene Twilligear, 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, in Comanche, Texas.

She was born on January 8, 1929, in Abilene, Texas, to Samuel Columbus and Frances Lenore (Franklin) Wyatt. She was united in marriage to Hilmer Dewitt Welch in Brownwood. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an LVN and an X-Ray technician until she retired in 2016. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Owens and husband Sammy of Brownwood; son, Buddy Welch and wife Reedy of Deleon; grandchildren, Patrick Laird, Carey Liendo, Clay Young, Cody Young, and Corey Young; seventeen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
