Harry A. Daniels, Jr., 84 died unexpectedly June 10, 2018 at his home. On June 26, 1953 he married Joyce Potter, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter Meg Daniels of Syracuse and daughter-in-law Jody of Vestal.

Harry was predeceased by his daughter Kathy, son Scott and his siblings Norma, Joyce, Elena and Donald. Harry retired from IBM after 32 years of service. Together with his son Scott he founded Daniel’s Excavating Service.

For many years he raised, trained and raced quarterhorses. While raising his family he was a member of the Vestal Volunteer Fire Department and during his retirement he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He attended the First Baptist Church of Vestal.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 am Friday at Nanticoke Valley Cemetery, Union Center. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Building Fund at the First Baptist Church of Vestal, 117 Powderhouse Rd. Vestal NY 13850.
