Big Stone Gap, VA Harry Eugene Grindstaff, 93, passed away on March 18, 2019 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. He was born in Appalachia, but lived most of his life in Big Stone Gap. He worked at Pet Dairy for over 40 years and was a life-long member of the Big Stone Gap Rescue Squad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Willard and Okie Flanary Grindstaff. And several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Juanita Clark Grindstaff, his daughters Harriet Bell (Robert), Tammy Berry (Bo), Stephanie Dean (Tim), and 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap; on Saturday March 23, 2019 . Graveside services are private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Big Stone Gap Rescue Squad.
