Harvey’s Obituary Harvey D. Lilleodden, age 81, of Hanska, lost his battle with cancer after a valiant effort on February 13, 2019 at Living Meadows in Madelia. Funeral Service will be at 11 am on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church in rural Hanska, with Pastor Sarah Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

mvfh.org Harvey is survived by his wife, LaDonna; daughter, Cathay (Rob) Rosenau of Hanska; sons, Michael (Laurie) Lilleodden of Hanska, Jeffrey (Julie) Lilleodden of Sleepy Eye, Curtis (Tammy) Lilleodden of Solon, IA; grandchildren, Jaime (Tim) Zander, Jason Rosenau, Aaron Lilleodden, Daniel (Hollie) Rosenau, Jordan Lilleodden (Carissa), Jacob Lilleodden (Alayna), Sarah Lilleodden (Robert LeGarde), Ben Lilleodden, John Lilleodden, Christine Lilleodden; great granddaughter, Olivia Jo LeGarde; sisters, Joan Lilleodden of St. Paul, Elaine Johnson of Slayton, Leanore (Don) Johnsen of Thief River Falls; brothers, Roger (Karin) Lilleodden of St. Paul, James (Bonnie) Lilleodden of Hanska; brothers-in-law, Darrel (Judy) Johnson of Babbitt, Randy (Bette) Johnson of Bertha, Doug Johnson of Wadena; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Thea; twin sisters, Ann and May; Joan’s twin sister, Jane; brother-in-law, John Johnson; and sister-in-law, Carol Lee Claude. Harvey Dale Lilleodden was born on February 5, 1938, in Madelia to Oscar I. and Thea A. (Helling) Lilleodden.
He attended grade school at District 67 and went on to start farming – his God given vocation that he loved and excelled in. Harvey loved working the land and growing crops, especially at the home place. He began farming in 1957 and on April 8, 1961 he married the love of his life, LaDonna L. Johnson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples, MN.
Their union was blessed with 4 children, who they raised together on the farm. Harvey enjoyed a host of different activities, such as: deer hunting, bowling, watching the grandkids various sports and activities, watching the Twins, Vikings & Patriots, and spending extra time and great pride in caring for his lawn and farmstead. He was a lifelong member of Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, where he was on various committees and held different positions in the church.
Harvey especially enjoyed family gatherings and holidays, vacations at the lake with family, and talking farming with all his friends and relatives. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Harvey will be greatly missed by his wife of over 57 years, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
