Blenheim, SC Helen Gray Caulder passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80 years old. Born in Blenheim, SC, on January 17, 1939, Helen was a daughter of the late Worth Shaw and Effie Nolan Gray.

She was the wife of the late Charles Vance Caulder, Jr. and a retired Administrative Assistant with Mohawk Industries. She was a member of Parnassus United Methodist Church and spent many years there serving on the Administrative Council, teaching Sunday School, working with the youth, and singing with the choir. Helen loved the beach, gardening, and maintaining her yard with all her beautiful flowers.

She loved birds, particularly hummingbirds. Above all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; and brothers, Alton “Skeeby” Gray and Jimmy Gray.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: son, Charles Vance “Chuck” Caulder, III of Clayton, NC; daughter, Susan Caulder Blackmon (Steve) of Blenheim, SC; brother, Carroll Gray of Bennettsville, SC; sister, Peggy Gray Burroughs of Blenheim, SC; grandchildren, Alisha Blackmon Wyatt (Justin), Casey Blackmon (Daniel Windham), Rebecca Blackmon, Mary-Steven Blackmon, Charlie Caulder, Matthew Caulder (Jenn); great-grandchildren, Phillip Wyatt, Addison Wyatt, Lindley Caulder, and Charlotte Caulder. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville, followed by burial at Parnassus United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
