Herbert T. “Butch” Minium, 76, of Portmay Road, Watsontown, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Evangelical Community Hospital. Born January 16, 1942 in rural Milton, he was the son of the late Howard W. and Anna E. (Bogart) Minium. On June 5, 1961 he married the former Mary A. Raup and they have celebrated 57 years of marriage.

He had been employed with Penn-DOT for 31 years until retiring in 1999. He also operated a small engine repair business and Minium Hauling Business for several years. He was a former umpire and coach for Watsontown Little League for over 30 years.

Butch was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and 76er’s Basketball fan and loved spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife, Mary Minium at home are four sons: Herbie Minium and his wife Connie and Randy Minium and his wife JoAnne, all of Watsontown; Pete Minium and his wife Rose of Muncy; and Greg Minium of Watsontown; five grandchildren: Nathan, Breanne, Lloyd, Zacharie, and Ethan; and a great-grandson, Easton; a brother, Eugene Minium of Watsontown; and two sisters: Grace Kitner of Watsontown and Lucille Walters of Mifflinburg. Preceding him in death besides his parents were four sisters: Rachel Mitchel, Evelyn Baker, Emma May Haines, and Patricia Yeager; and a brother, Skip Minium.
