Herman Henry Greene, 93, of HIllsboro, IL passed on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, IL. Services are pending at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Greene was born on April 19, 1925, in Duluth, MN, to the late Ernest & Blanche (Johnson) Greene.

He was a Class of 1943 Graduate of Roosevelt High School in Gary, IN & Graduate of Pasadena School of Engineering in Pasadena, CA. He was a WWII Veteran, where he served in the 2nd Calvary Division, Army. Mr Greene retired from the California Department of Corrections in 1972, where he was a Food Manager for 22 years.

He married Billie Claybrook, on September 10, 1986, in Los Angeles, CA. She survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Greene was a member of St. James Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL and Hillsboro Lions Club, where he was a past president.

He had lived in Los Angeles, CA for 50 years and moved to Hillsboro, IL in 1993. Mr. Greene is survived by his wife, Billie Greene of HIllsboro, IL; three sons, Ronald Greene of Hemet, CA; Michael Greene of Los Angeles, CA & Anthony Greene of Pamona, CA. four daughters, Gwen Schuler of Washingon; Marilyn Haycke of Oxnard, CA; Cynthia Keins of Washington & Alexandria of Las Vegas, NV; one step daughter, Ininia Wideman of Springfield, IL; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Mr. Greene was preceded by one daughter, Jackueline Greene; five brothers and four sisters.
