Howard Denzel Miller, age 86 of Toronto, OH passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Denzel was born January 10, 1932 in Jefferson County, OH. He was a member of the Hill Top Presbyterian Church, Toronto, OH where he had served as an Elder and Trustee; was a 50 year member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge # 583 F. & A.M.; was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson Union High School and was a former board member of the Island Creek Cemetery Association.

Denzel had been employed at the former Keagler Brick Company of Steubenville, OH and retired from the Titanium Metals Corporation, TIMET of Toronto, OH after 33years as a lathe operator . After his retirement from TIMET he was employed at the Clarke Funeral Home for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ralph.

and Millie (Bailey) Miller; brothers, James R. and Gerald G. Miller and sisters, Elva Scott, June Hobson and Aileen Dennis. Denzel is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ina Elizabeth (Ault) Miller whom he married June 26, 1952; sons, Kenneth Howard (Dina) Miller of Pittsburgh, PA and Timothy Scott (Betsy) Miller of Toronto, OH ;daughter, Karen S. (William) Doyle of Toronto, OH; grandsons, Ron (Amy) Miller, Ryan Miller, Travis Miller and Brenden Wiatrak; granddaughter, Samantha Wiatrak and great grandchildren, Haydan Michaels and Cody and Liam Miller. Visitation hours for Denzel will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) Saturday, June 30th at the Hill Top Presbyterian Church, County Road 46, Toronto, OH.

Masonic services for Denzel will be held at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Hill Top Presbyterian Church. A Celebration Service of Denzel’s life will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) Saturday at the Hill Top Presbyterian Church with the Reverend C. Robert Meyer officiating. Interment will be held at the Island Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Denzel may be made to the Hill Top Presbyterian Church, 110 County Rd. 46, Toronto, OH 43964 or Valley Hospice, 10686 State Rt. 150, Rayland, OH 43943.

Denzel’s arrangements are in the care of the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main Street, Toronto, OH.
