Howard F. Hunziker, 92, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018 in Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 4, 1926 in Rome, the son of the late Clarence and Catherine Myers Hunziker and was educated locally. Howard faithfully served his country in both the United States Marine Corp and then the United States Air Force.

Over the years he was employed with Pettibone, Revere Printing, Brognano’s Limousine, and Eychner’s Car Sales and Service. Howard was of the Catholic Faith. He could fix almost anything especially electronics and cars.

Howard also enjoyed coin collecting and always puttering around his home. Howard is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris Baldigo and Betty and Bob Rapke, all of Rome and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Henriksen.

Mr. Hunziker’s funeral service will be held privately for the family. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
