Hoyt Wayne Martin, 67, of Owensboro, died on Friday, January 18, 2019 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born February 20, 1951 in Butler County, KY to the late Earl Uldric Martin and Delphia House Clark. He was retired from Swedish Match after 33 years as a maintenance supervisor and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

Hoyt was an avid hunter and enjoyed traveling to Cypress. Survivors include two sons, Patrick Martin (Sherry) and Randy Martin (Tiffany); four grandchildren, Makenzie Martin, Zachary Martin, Claire Martin and Lily Martin; one great-grandson, Raiden Martin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation is from 2 to 6 on Sunday and after 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758541, Topeka, KS 66675-8541.
