Irene C. (Prete) Morlacci, 87, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Greensburg Care Center. Born June 8, 1931, she was a lifelong resident of Leechburg and graduated from Leechburg High School in 1949. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and activities with her fellow graduates in the “49ers” club.

Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family – specifically her grandchildren – and friends. She was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp. Irene was employed by J.C. Penney Co. for many years.

Irene is survived by a son, Michael A. Morlacci (Linda) of Greensburg; a brother, Louis A. Prete (Marguerite) of Holiday Park, Plum; a sister, Anna Marie Sinclair of Leechburg; two granddaughters, Alyssa Morlacci of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Lauren Morlacci of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Louis and Teadora (Ziroulo) Prete, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Morlacci; and aunt Emma Andreo. Friends welcomed by her family on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 2 PM until the time of services at 4 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).

Private interment will be held in St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Twp. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www. alz.org).
