Irene Elizabeth Golas, 95, of Torrington, CT, passed away Sunday, March 10th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Walter Golas Irene was born in Torrington, CT on July 22, 1923, a of the late Teofila and Bronislaw Kropa. She was a long time Communicant of Saint Mary’s Church and a loving mother.

She is survived by her children Janet Wiellette and Robert Golas and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Mamie Kucera, Stella Tedesco, and Bonnie Smith. The family wishes to thank Litchfield Woods and the loving and caring 5th floor staff at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, March 15th at Saint Peter Church in Torrington. Burial will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
