Obituary for Irene Ellen Terry Irene Ellen (Snead) Terry, 93, of Orleans, passed away at 7:45 AM on January 7, 2019 at Mitchell Manor. She was born on May 25, 1925 in Hagan, Virginia, the daughter of Paul A. and Henrietta (Baker) Snead. She married Elver G. (Eck) Terry on May 10, 1940 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 1976.

She was a member of the Orleans Christian Church. She graduated from Watterson College in Louisville and worked for Older Americans for several years. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Lee Terry Fields (Mike) of Orleans and Mary Catherine Terry Townsley (Darryl) of Eldon, MO; two grandchildren, Eric Fields (Deb) and Ann Fields Bramer (Andy); six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Ronnie Terry and two sisters, Gladys Leinart-Henderson and Jeanette Snead. The funeral will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Orleans Christian Church in Orleans with Brother Thomas Bostic and Brother Andy Bramer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Orleans.
