OBITUARY Irene Webb Huffman July 31, 1928 – January 18, 2019 Irene Webb Huffman, 90, of Hickory, passed away on January 18, 2019 at her residence. Irene was born July 31, 1928 in Cocke County, TN and was the daughter of the late Edgar Webb and Ellen Elizabeth Sutton Webb. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Morris Ray Huffman; son, Marvin Ray Huffman; brother, Jay Webb; sisters, Marie Williamson, and Glenda Sigmon. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Christopher Keith Huffman (Diane), Larry Wayne Huffman (Regina), and Lester Alan Huffman; grandchildren, Chris, Ray, Mark, Gwen, Leslie and Alan Jr. Huffman; nine great grandchildren; sister, Marion Bates. A funeral service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 1pm with Reverend Mark Seaman.

Burial to follow at Catawba Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 to 12:45pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either Our Savior Lutheran Church at 2160 35th Ave Dr. NE Hickory, NC 28601 or to Carolina Caring at 3975 Robinson Rd.
