Irene Parmelee Pike December 18, 1930 – September 24, 2018 Fall City native Irene Pike went to be with her Lord on September 24th at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. She was surrounded by her family. She was born Irene Parmelee on December 18, 1930 to Eugene Parmelee and Elizabeth Caroline Parmelee in Fall City, Washington, a town she loved and spent most of her life.

She graduated from Mt. Si High School in 1949 and lived briefly in Chicago, Snoqualmie and North Bend before moving to Spokane. It was there, at Dishman Roller Rink, where she met a young serviceman, Tom, who would become her husband of almost 60 years.

Following a brief stint in Detroit, the growing family returned to Fall City in 1960. She held several jobs before working full-time doing what she loved most – being a wife and mother. Her passions included playing softball, camping, garage sales, decorating for Christmas, going on cruises and penguins.

Irene was active in her community. She was proud of the role she played with the Eastside Mothers of Multiples, including being a founding member and past president. She was part of the Fall City Passion Play for many years, served on the Fall City sub-area committee, was treasurer for the Fall City Neighbors and founded the annual Fall City Community Garage Sale, also serving as president.

She was honored when she and Tom were asked to be the Grand Marshalls in the 2018 Fall City Days parade. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Carrie Parmelee; brothers Glenn (Audrey) Parmelee, Philip Parmelee, Eugene Fay Parmelee; sisters Gladys (William) Priebe, Grace (Francis) Braillard and Elizabeth Ervilla “Villa” (Jerome) Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Forest “Tom” Pike and children Gerry Anderson, Gene (Gail) Anderson, Kris Anderson, Mary (Douglas) Grimes, Drew (Laurie) Pike, Nancy Pike, John (Ursula) Pike, Darin (Melodie) Pike and Karen (Mike) Thomsen, 27 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene will be missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 7th at 2:00 PM at her church of over 40 years, Valley Christian Assembly in Fall City.
