Obituary for Irvie W. “Buddy” Milner Irvie Watkins “Buddy” Milner, 81, of 235 Milner Road, Chappells, widow of Jennie Stonewall Milner, died Friday, April 13, 2018 at Newberry Memorial Hospital. Born in Chappells, she was a daughter of the late Irwin Quattlebaum and Daisy Clark Watkins. She was a member of Chappells Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Jenny Milner and Wanda Riddle (Steve), both of Chappells, Beth Davis (Gary) of Leesville and Barry Milner of the home; a sister, Mary Watkins Counts of Taylors; grandchildren, Justin Rice (Catina) of Ware Shoals, Allison Rice (Tavares Hackett) and Tiffany Graddick (Stephen Williams), both of Greenwood, Jennifer Milner (William Spires) of Chappells, Barron Milner of the home, Chase Davis and Cassie Davis, both of Leesville; and seven great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Chappells Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Pollock officiating.

Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Gibert, Brian Gibert, Michael Gibert, Daniel Summer, Jacob Nealson and William Spires. Honorary escort will be Hal Burgess and Paul Graddick.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Health Hospice, PO Box 352, Newberry, SC 29108.

The family would like to thank the staff of Presbyterian Home and the staff of Palmetto Health Hospice for their special care and love to Buddy. They would also like to extend a very special thanks to her granddaughter, Jennifer Milner, for taking excellent care of Buddy out of the goodness of her heart so that she was able to stay at home.
